Hi, I’m Laura (she/they), a neurodivergent therapist serving the greater South Bay Area. I work with Connections Counseling Associates in San Jose and am supervised by Mary Crocker Cook, LMFT #24835.
Approach
Therapy works best when you feel comfortable with your therapist. I bring a mix of warmth, knowledge, humor, and intuition. I’m super present with my clients and place value on being authentic and building trust. Both art and therapy have played a major role in my own healing journey, and I appreciate the opportunity to be a part of yours.
I take a holistic view of mental health. We work with your system rather than trying to force it to be different. We’re all complex beings in complex systems, and I believe a dynamic approach is needed to honor that.
My work is rooted in an understanding of the nervous system and draws from experiential modalities like Internal Family Systems (IFS), somatic therapy, expressive arts, and mindfulness-based approaches. These flexible tools help us meet the deeper layers of your experience — at a pace that honors your needs.
