Hi, I’m Laura (she/they), a neurodivergent therapist serving the greater South Bay Area. I work with Connections Counseling Associates in San Jose and am supervised by Mary Crocker Cook, LMFT #24835.
Approach
Therapy works best when you feel comfortable. As a therapist, I bring a mix of warmth, knowledge, humor, and intuition. I’m super present with my clients and place value on being authentic and building trust. Both art and therapy have played a major role in my own healing journey, and I appreciate the opportunity to be a part of yours.
I take a holistic view of mental health. We work with your system rather than trying to force it to be different — uncovering, understanding, and supporting what’s already within you. We’re all complex beings in complex systems, and I believe therapy should reflect that.
My work is rooted in a trauma/nervous system-informed lens and draws from experiential modalities like Internal Family Systems (IFS), somatic therapy, expressive arts, and mindfulness-based approaches. These flexible tools help us meet the deeper layers of your experience — at a pace that honors your needs and capacity.
